Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to Assi Services Group Pty Ltd (trading as Rove Financial) and describes how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code.
Information we collect
- Identity and contact details, including name, address, phone and email
- Financial information such as income, assets, liabilities and living expenses
- Employment or business details, including financial statements and tax returns
- Credit information, including credit reports and repayment history where relevant
- Website usage information collected through standard analytics
Why we collect it
We collect information to assess your objectives and financial position, to provide credit assistance, to submit applications to lenders on your behalf, to meet our responsible lending and anti-money-laundering obligations, and to maintain the ongoing advisory relationship you have engaged us for.
Who we disclose it to
With your consent, we may disclose information to lenders and credit providers, lenders mortgage insurers, credit reporting bodies, valuers, your accountant or solicitor where you have asked us to, our aggregator and referrers, and to regulators or others where required by law. We do not sell your information.
How we protect it
Information is stored in access-controlled systems with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to those who need it to perform their role. We retain records for the period required by law and destroy or de-identify them when no longer needed.
Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or make a complaint about how it has been handled by contacting info@rovefinancial.com.au. We will acknowledge your request promptly and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
